This April 2nd is the official DMC Day, as it was the day we became officially recognized by UC Davis as an on-campus club. Since we we so busy at the time, however, I've been forced to push it all the way out to now.

What: DMC Day BBQ Celebration

Probably a time more towards the afternoon; we'll meet somewhere in Davis and *happen* to all drive up to the Lake at the same time.

I was talking to Alex about it, and Brian's first races are this weekend, and to my knowledge the real major one is on Sunday, and we're planning to have the bbq on Saturday. Alex will be working the track that morning, so the bbq will be towards the afternoon.

i love running thru second gear at the place where the cliffs are gray and vertical and there's a big area for people to park on the other side
i think ill do that a few times this weekend
maybe just go back and forth

I was talking to Alex the other day, and considering that Brian's races are this weekend he proposed the following idea: We all go up to Thunderhill to watch the races, and chill and party and whatnot.

From what Alex has told me it's $10 to get in and theres lots and lots of food. Since the races are over two days we could maybe split the cost of a few hotel rooms in the area and party it up for the weekend, while enjoying some intense Thunderhill action as well. We could set up a carpool system to be easy on gas.

This is by no means the final plan for what we'll be doing. What do you guys think?

I'll be down for a drive up, probably Saturday morning... I've got way too much on my plate on the moment to really plan this thing out, and from the looks of it no one's really down to do anything major, especially a bbq, so for this weekend, I'm down to just water it down to a simple cruise up to the lake, and maybe have a little photoshoot as well.
