Yes, that's right everyone, We have officially gotten the green light for a DMC Dyno Day at the new garage of Evil Genius Racing, aka, EGR!
Link to Facebook Event
Where: Evil Genius Racing (Click for Map)
When: Friday, February 20, 2009. Event Starts @ 5:00pm. This event will be replacing our usual bi-weekly meet at Round Table Pizza.
What to Bring: Yourself, Your Car, and $35 (If you want to have your car dynoed). As usual, if you bring a friend, you can get $5 off of your DMC membership fee.
EGR will be supplying pizza, drinks, and snacks.
The cost for three pulls will be $35 including wide band AFR. If someone wants a more accurate (pre-cat) AFR reading and there is no test bung, they will weld one in for an additional $25.
EGR's dynamometer is limited to two-wheel drive vehicles only. Sorry, AWD guys
Those of you who want to get your car dynoed should e-mail all their info to Julian beforehand, at julian@evilgeniusracing.com
Julian needs the following information:
Name
Address
Phone Number
Email
Car Year, Make, Model
# of Cylinders

Bike?
I tried to dyno myself on my pit bicycle... FAIL... fell over after pulling a whopping 4 ft/lbs and 1 hp
It will be great to have all you guys at the shop, should be a fun event!

We will also be offering scaling of cars as time allows. You can find out what your car actually weighs...
Sorry, but, between the scales and the dyno, you will have no excuses or be able to BS about your car. It will be documented!

I wish my car would dyno.. it'll only go up to 5500rpms without the gt1 tool (whatever that is). the scale thing sounds promising. _________________

I believe that all we have to do to dyno your car is disable the anti-lock brake system.. I'll check into it
corner weighting will be free during the DMC event. Otherwise a complete corner balance and race alignment runs $150 |

Not to the dyno, only to your self esteem as a car owner

We will only have time to weigh the cars, not adjust the balance, at least you will know where you are. You will get your corner weights, cross, front-rear, right-left and total. |

pshhhh van!
i was just thinking miata, so i can see how much power its making after 20 years, and so i can compare my times with others at the track. and the the "van" has only 20k miles, and basically stock, so i am assuming that it is like most other Z's 235-245 whp. _________________
